Every job is treated the same, from a small extension to a large development, with a key focus on keeping material costs down, RAPID installation time to cut programme delivery time and consideration of foundation solution type to minimise environmental impact.
Reinforced Concrete Slabs (RC Slabs) are the most efficient foundation solution with screw piles. Minimal excavation, fast screw pile installation. In one pour you get a solid finished sub-structure ready in no time at all for follow on trades. A simple A393 mesh system with clay heave (where required) beneath the RC slab if there is clay present in the ground.
Removing the need for excessive 2m + depths of ground excavation. Installing screw piles along the running length of the ground beams to reduce their size down by 60 – 70%. Rebar cages are quickly installed around the pile caps. If there is clay in the ground, there is a potential for the requirement of some form of heave.
Screw piles are installed to specific depths and locations as set out by our engineer. Pile caps are set to a tolerance of +/- 5mm and the steel is then landed onto the top of the screw piles. It is either mechanically fixed with a bolted connection or welded in place. The steel will normally be required to be galvanised by Building Control.
A cost effective solution for smaller extensions, garden rooms and smaller or larger timber frame structures. Installing screw piles to specific depths and spacings as set out by our engineers. Pile caps are set to a tolerance of +/- 5mm and the timber ring beam is then mechanically fixed to the pile cap using an off the shelf ‘L’ Bracket.
